Route: Tekija – Trajan’s Plaque – Mali Kazan – Decebalus Statue – Mraconia Monastery – Signal Balloon Stations – Tekija.

This is a perfect opportunity to experience the majestic Djerdap Gorge from the water. You will pass Trajan’s Plaque, an impressive Roman inscription carved into the rock, and navigate through Mali Kazan, the deepest part of the Danube, where you will see the statue of King Decebalus, the Orthodox Mraconia Monastery, and the signal balloon stations.

Excursion price: Adults: 20€ , Children up to 7 years: Free, Children 7–12 years: 10€.

• May 3, 2025 – Archaeological Tour with Wine Tasting (4h)

Discover the rich history of the Djerdap region. The tour starts with a visit to the Djerdap Archaeological Museum, followed by a walk to Fetislam Fortress, a 16thcentury Ottoman fortification. Next, you will visit Diana Roman Fortress, an ancient military camp at the former border of the Roman Empire. The tour continues with a visit to the Djerdap Hydroelectric Dam, and concludes at Trajan’s Bridge, once the longest bridge in the world. Upon returning to the hotel, a wine tasting session with local delicacies will be organized.

Children’s Policy & Extra Charges:

• Two children up to 7 years stay for free with two adults, children from 7 to 12 years pay 50% of the package price, children over 12 years pay full price.
