Kladovo – Archaeological Museum – Roman Diana –Hydroelectric Power Plant Djerdap – Trajan’s Bridge – Kladovo (3,5h). Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Đerdap, which presents significant evidence of diverse cultures from the prehistoric, Roman, and medieval periods along the Danube. This is followed by a brief visit to the Roman fortress of Diana and a visit to the Hydroelectric Power Plant Djerdap. Built in 1974, it was the largest project of its kind in Europe that year and significantly changed the course of the Danube, as well as the local villages and nearby cultural-historical monuments. We’ll also visit the remains of Trajan’s Bridge. After its construction, for over a thousand years, it remained the largest bridge in the world. It was built by the Roman Emperor Trajan in the early 2nd century to cross the Danube and conquer Dacian tribes. The excursion concludes back at the hotel, where a wine tasting of local wines will be accompanied by a snack. Excursion price: adults €30, children aged 2-10 €10, children under 2 – free.
