NATIONAL PARK AND DJERDAP GORGE, BELGRADE, SMEDEREVO, GOLUBAC, AND RAM FORTRESS, LEPENSKI VIR, VIMINACIUM

three days / two nights – by boat and bus

1st day. Belgrade – Smederevo – Ram – Veliko Gradiste – Golubac – Djerdap gorge – Donji Milanovac – Tekija – Kladovo (240km):

Passenger meeting at the Belgrade port (Karadjordjeva Street, near Branko’s Bridge) at 07:15 AM, passenger check-in and boarding. The cruise begins from Belgrade Fortress towards Kladovo. We pass by Smederevo Fortress, then the confluence of the Morava River into the Danube, followed by the medieval Ram Fortress, in the area where the Danube is widest in Serbia. Continuing the journey past Srebrno Lake and Veliko Gradište. Passing by Golubac Fortress, we enter the area of the Đerdap National Park, also known as the Iron Gate. We navigate through the longest and deepest European gorge where the Danube is at its most beautiful. The area showcases unique flora and fauna, bearing witness to remnants of one of the oldest settlements in Europe – Lepenski Vir. We pass by Donji Milanovac, followed by the most exciting part of the Djerdap Gorge – the Great and Small Kazan, by the statue of the last Dacian king Decebalus, and then by the location where the Roman Emperor Trajan left his indelible mark in the rock, known as Trajan’s Plaque. Arrival in Tekija after approximately 9.5 hours of cruising. Short transfer by bus to Kladovo. Accommodation at the “Aquastar Danube” hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.

2nd day. Kladovo: Breakfast. Free time for Spa activities (pools, sauna…) or optional excursion:

Kladovo – Archaeological Museum – Roman Diana –Hydroelectric Power Plant Djerdap – Trajan’s Bridge – Kladovo (3,5h). Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Đerdap, which presents significant evidence of diverse cultures from the prehistoric, Roman, and medieval periods along the Danube. This is followed by a brief visit to the Roman fortress of Diana and a visit to the Hydroelectric Power Plant Djerdap. Built in 1974, it was the largest project of its kind in Europe that year and significantly changed the course of the Danube, as well as the local villages and nearby cultural-historical monuments. We’ll also visit the remains of Trajan’s Bridge. After its construction, for over a thousand years, it remained the largest bridge in the world. It was built by the Roman Emperor Trajan in the early 2nd century to cross the Danube and conquer Dacian tribes. The excursion concludes back at the hotel, where a wine tasting of local wines will be accompanied by a snack. Excursion price: adults €30, children aged 2-10 €10, children under 2 – free. Payment at the hotel reception, a minimum of 15 adults required for the excursion to take place. Dinner. Overnight stay.

3rd day. Kladovo – Lepenski Vir – Kapetan Misin Breg – Viminacium – Belgrade (260 Km):

Breakfast. Bus departure at 09:30 AM. Bus ride along the Danube, with a photo stop at the viewpoint above the Kazan Gorge. Arrival at the archaeological site of Lepenski Vir, one of the oldest urban settlements in Europe and the world, representing the highest achievement of the culture of the Middle Stone Age (6,500 BC). After the visit, there will be a lunch break at the Kapetan Misin Breg ethno restaurant. Continuation of the journey and a break for viewing the Golubac Fortress, built in the middle of the 14th century, demolished, rebuilt and extended several times as a border fortification between Serbia, Hungary and Turkey. Planned arrival in Belgrade in the evening hours.

The package price is expressed in euros, payment in the equivalent amount in Serbian dinars at the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the day of payment.

Note: A minimum of 45 passengers is required for the trip to be realized.
The travel package includes: Cruise according to the program from Belgrade to Tekija on the first day, bus transfer (Tekija – Kladovo on the first day and Tekija – Belgrade on the last day), breakfast and lunch on the boat during the cruise, accommodation at the 4-star Aquastar Danube hotel on a half-board basis (dinner and breakfast – buffet), use of the Spa and Wellness center facilities in the hotel (pool, sauna, steam bath, massage chairs, fitness studio), tourist taxes and guest insurance on the boat and in the hotel, lunch on the return journey on the third day of the trip, entrance tickets to the Lepenski Vir and Viminacium sites, services of a tourist guide and local guides, travel organization costs.
The travel package does not include: Consumption of drinks during the cruise and in the hotel, optional excursion on the second day of the trip (a minimum of 15 registered passengers is required for the excursion to take place), other individual expenses of the passengers (mini-bar, services of manual massages, use of the jacuzzi, laundry and ironing services…)
Note: The program is subject to changes and additions in case of unforeseen circumstances. The program may be slightly modified before the start of the tourist season. The estimated cruise time from Belgrade to Tekija depends on the navigational conditions.

Payment method: Reservation of the travel package is made by an advance payment of 50% of the total amount as per the provided proforma invoice, while the remaining amount is paid at the latest 7 days before the departure of the trip. In the case of reservations made less than 14 days before the trip, the full amount is paid as per the provided proforma invoice.
