Boat excursion through the Djerdap Gorge

The guaranteed departures are on Saturdays and Sundays at 12:45 PM and 3:00 PM throughout the entire summer season.

During the cruise, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful part of the Djerdap Gorge. The route passes by the place where Roman Emperor Trajan left his indelible mark on the rock, known as Trajan’s Plaque. It goes through the Small Kazan, where the Danube is at its deepest along its entire course, then past the statue of the last Dacian king Decebalus carved into the rock, and the Orthodox Monastery of Mrakonia. There are also signal (balloon) stations on the Danube and finally, the place where the Danube is at its narrowest along its entire course.
